Back in 1999, before green building practices were widely used, we created our Innvironments line of non-toxic, breathable wallcoverings and textiles made from renewable or recyclable materials. Since then, we've continued to expand the line to offer a wide range of products that are as beautiful as they are sustainable.

Innovations recognizes that indoor air quality is often a concern. That's why the entire Innvironments line is breathable, to reduce the risk of mold and bacteria build-up. The Innvironments products are manufactured with non-toxic inks and are PVC-free, to reduce the negative health effects of off-gassing found in traditional vinyl wallcoverings. We are committed to creating products that are not only breathable and sustainable, but also stylish and durable. Our latest product launch included 4 patterns of a revolutionary non-vinyl Type II wallcovering that is a bio-degradable composition of soy, corn and potatoes that form a non-chemical plastic film over a backing made from recycled paper and kanaf, a rapidly renewable resource similar to bamboo. We are also currently working on the next generation of PVC-free Type II wallcovering that will be made with over 30% recycled content. And we've developed new manufacturing techniques that have reduced waste at our mills by more than 30%.

Innovations has been an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and supports their Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating System. To that end, Innovations employs LEED accredited professionals to ensure the adherence to the most up-to-date LEED requirements and manufacturing processes.
